Majorca is an excellent shopping paradise, with Palma forming the main centre of attraction. Stores in Palma offer handicrafts, fine needlework, elegant leather goods and Majorcan pearls. The best shopping streets in the city are: San Miguel, Carrer Sindicato, Jaume II, Jaume III, Carrer Platerí, Roman and Passeig des Borne.

Also the streets going from the Borne to Placa Cort offer you a good collection of Mallorcan art. There are also commercial shopping centres on the island that showcase a wide selection of Mallorcan tradition along with restaurants and cafes for a great shopping outing. Generally the shops close down on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

Casa Bonet
Casa Bonet sells finely textured and embroidered goods of all kinds. Found in 1860, this shop is all about traditions. The sheets, tablecloths, napkins and pillowcases are made from fine linen or cotton and the style found here cannot be imitated by machines.

Festival Park

Porto Pi
This is a large shopping centre located near Cala Mayor, southwest of the city of Palma. There are many shops with a huge range of products. If you are visiting Palma Nova or Magaluf then there are buses available that will take you straight to the centre.

WEEKLY MARKETS IN MAJORCA
There are different markets taking place daily in different towns and villages across the island. Many of the markets offer local food produce, traditional handicrafts and interesting souvenirs at bargain prices.
The Sineu market is said to be the most authentic market on the island and will provide a visitor the best experience of Majorcan shopping. If you are looking for an authentic market experience then it is advised to visit the markets that are not located in a tourist resort, as they sell less traditional products and may also be more expensive.
